Deaf Roma children in the UK: Thoughts from one of our partners
BATOD is very pleased to be involved in this project. It is important to find out what works well in supporting deaf children from Roma families but BATOD is also keen to be involved in a future project researching issues related to migrant children from all over the world. They are a complex group and we need to know what works best and how they can be supported and helped to achieve their potential. BATOD is the largest member of the European Federation of Associations of Teachers of the Deaf and has links with European countries where there are significant Roma populations so those links will be useful in future work.
